STORYBOARD
This is a screen shot of one of the storyboard ideas. In this part of the storyboard it shows my partner and I in one of our locations in the music video. This location that is presented is in morden park and there were varies things to film such as a waterfall, a riverbed, and the scenery. This helped us to get a rough idea of the kind of things we need to film and what our music video would at least consist of. This also gave us a template as a back-up just in case both my partner and I couldnt think of any other ideas to include in the music video or there was shot we didn't like we could have possibly changed the idea and the footage to something else.
ANIMOTO
The next thing that we had to do after the stroyboard was to cut it up and them put it in a sequenced order of what we would want it to look like, as if it was the music video. My partner and I had a joint decision in the order that the animo to would be in. This gave my partner ( Clare O'Mara ) and I a brief as well as clear interpretation as to what the finished product of the music video may look like.
Once my partner and I had come to a joint decision that the Animatic looked finished and looks like our finishing product then we decided to move onto the next task which was to make a prop and costume choice sheet. This was an informational sheet that we made in order to be aware and to understand the kind of clothing and objects( the props ) that we would have liked to be seen in the music video. However due to one of the conventions in the music video stating that in every shot the artist would wear a different costume to match their surrounds. This meant that every time we wished to film or shoot a scenery we would have to wear a different costume to appeal to our audience. Furthering towards the shooting of the music video by doing the props and costumes list it helped my partner and i in the decisions of what kind of items would best appeal to our audience in which specific scenes.
One other planning document that we were required to make was a "treatment " document that was made on word. This was a document that was made by both my partner and I and it consisted of a range of information giving both us of a clear understanding and a prosperous idea of how the music video may look once finished as well as the skills and the requirements in order to make a proficient music video.
During the planning of making the music video I decided to make a paper edit for the music video. This is material which is shown through a table which allows me to understand how to easily read my music video as well as what the videos would look when edited. Hence this helped me to create my music video due to the fact that it gave me a better understanding of not only how it would look when its finished as well as the structure that it would be in.
During making the paper edit my partner and I chose to make an editing schedule. This allowed my partner Clare O'Mara and I made this document together however got different results due to the fact that we did our own music videos with the same song. However it also gave use various different errands that would have needed to be complete. This then goes to prove that the paper edit contributed to the help of my partner and I during the creation of our music video because we were both able to know what we had to do, when we had to do and why we had to do it. By setting the dates of when we need to do do the music video allowed us to be more productive and to be able to get work done.
Before we started the production of the music video my partner Clare O'Mara and I had to make a casting decisions sheet. This was a list that allowed us to know what to expect and what to do when filming. This allowed me and my partner to know who would be lip-syncing at what scene and who would have to be filming. This contributed to us making the best possible music video in a better and much more planned way as well as allowing the producing to go quickly and efficiently.
However before we could possibly make that sheet we had to first create a location visit sheet which showed us where we had to film as well as all the positives as well as the negatives of filming and visiting each location. This allowed Clare O'Mara and I to be a bit more productive in making our music video due to the fact that we knew the kind of locations that we would be visiting as well as what we would need to expect when filming in those locations.
Once my partner and I had made the important documents in order to make a successful music video we then went onto making a shooting schedule. This was a document that has been made to allow both of us to be fully prepared on what had to be done when visiting each locations that had to be filmed and when we had to film. This allowed us to be a bit more organised and have everything well planned for what had to be done for each day . It also helped us know where and who was filming at that location as well as the costumes that would have to be set and ready for that day .
To be prepared and ready for shooting the music video my partner and I decided to create a proposal sheet. This was a sheet that is crucially required in order to make a efficient music video- this documents informs both of us on what is takes to be able to target our audience through the music video. I believe that this is very beneficial for my partner and I to make this document due to the huge contribution that it would bring in order to create a music video that would help us target our audience in a better way by thinking about the shot types, costume , props and hair and make-up as well as other qualities that we may not know about yet.
One of the most important document that my partner and I made was the risk assessment. This was a report that was made in order to educated my partner Clare O'Mara and I on what kind of risks and hazards we may have to face whilst the production and filming of the music video. The report allowed us to be very cautious and aware when filming in heavily congested places and and uneven ground due to the risks that the equipments may possess as well as any high risks around us when filming. It also gave us guidance on how to avoid and kinds of risks or hazards that we may have to face and what to do when they do happen.
The last document that my partner and I had to make was the rushes log. This was a log that allows the producers of the music video know how much footage has been shot / filmed at each day and location for the production of the video. This also allows us to know how much we have filmed if there is more to be filmed as well as what to film. This shows that the rushes log was a massive contribution to the production of the music video due to the fact that it helped Clare O'Mara and I in making the music video as well as be aware of how the footage turned out and if it needed to be changed in order to make a successful and appealing music video
