Family Logo

The family logo I chose to do was the ones with roses in them because I think that they portray all the channels and what they are trying to show and it can also appeal to their target audience. I had a way to make the logo designs link together through the use of the rose. The use of of the rose is to make the logo's seem special and one of a kind. I had a tough time trying to figure out how I could incorporate the rose into the logo's and still try and keep the meaning and identity behind them. The individuality of the stations is also shown through the use of the logo and its design.

The name that I chose to do for the family of logo was rosette regresser ( falling rose ) because of the concept of the roses position in the logo. And because of the concept for the radio station itself

Radio Station Target Audience

VIP

The channel VIP will broadcast to adults of 30+  because of the genre of music that they would play. The kind of music that they would play would be opera and classical because of the kind of atmosphere that is given by the name. The channel would want to target both male and female because the channel is called 'VIP'  so it would mean that they are trying to target both sexes.

The advertise that would be advertised would be things 30+ year olds would like and other universal adverts . These may include things such as car insurance, concerts, food and games related ads.  My design relfects on the channel because of its name- it should seem important and significant than all other channels.


SHRED

The channel Shred would broadcast its music to 17- 30 year olds due to the kind of music it would broadcast. The channel would play : heavy rock, metal , rock and roll and punk. Their target audience would probably be to mostly males but may also play a few songs for females.

The kind of ads that they would advertise would be hair gel, hair dye and instruments because I think it would be a goth or emo channel . I chose to do these designs because it reflects on what the channel is about and the kind of music.


LOCK

Lock would broadcast its music to 15+ because of the genre of music that they would play would be diverse and can appeal to everyone - including teenagers. Locks genre of music would probably be : trance. house. lounge. jazz, disco , funk, hip hop as well  as r 'n' b. This station would play different genres of music because it doesn't really have a diverse name to it suggesting otherwise.Their audience would be both female and male.

Their adverts would be diverse and vary from stuff like : albums, puplicity , news , home and car insurance due to their audeince.

Shred Idea 4

 
The first thing I did to start my logo design was to find a picture of rose petals falling . However it only filled half of the page

 
However because the petals were only falling at the top I had to fill it so that it filling the whole screen. In order for it to fill the whole page I had to select the part that had more petals and then pressed the backspace and then it filled the whole background.

 
After I did this I then added text from dafont and inserted it into my logo design.

 
 Once I had edited the text to the way I liked it, I outline the text with a dark green tool with the paint bucket tool.

Once I was done I decided to changed the brightness and contrast of the rose petals. At the top I chose to have it bright to seem like it was falling from the suns direction. At the bottom I had it a bit darker because I wanted it to seem like it was in the darkness and that it was " shredded "

VIP- Idea 4

 The first thing I did to start of my design was to give it a bright red background using the shape tool and the pain bucket tool.

 I then added another colour of pink on top and then changed the opacity of it so that it looks like its fading into the red.

 After I had done the background for the design I then added text. I editing the text and style and font and others using the text pallet. I had to experiment for a while before I got a the correct font.

 Once I had gotten the correct text I then looked for a star or something bright and vibrant so represent my logo design. I then changed the brightness of it so that it seems even brighter and so that it stands out.

 Once I had gotten the brightness of the star right I added flower stem that wrap around the "P" of the VIP. I did this using the pen tool.

Once I had successfully done the stem I added some roses to the side of the stem to seem like it was growing and wrapping around the the letter.

Lock - Idea 4

 To be able to start of my design for the lock i had to get a template of a lock. Once i had found it i changed the colour and style of it to suit my design. I did this with the pain bucket tool

 After I had changed the style i looked for a rose to fit into the centre of the key hole. To import the picture I had to look for it where i had saved it.

 After I had positioned the rose in the perfect place and added a brightness edit to it so that i stands out- i then had to add a stem. Because of the shape of the stem it would be hard to find something like it on the internet- so i drew it myself with the pen tool ad changed the colour to green.

 After I had drawn the stem I then added to the text to the design.I changed the size, font ant style of the text. Because I had them both done separately i also had to link both the text together so that they both move at the same time.

 After editing the text I added a picture of a key. Due to the picture of how they key was I had to take away the background the key using the magic wand tool and placed the key right in the middle of the lock.

After I thought the key was in the correct position I changed the contrast and brightness of it so that it would stand out. I also thought that because of how it looked that I should also edit the lock so that it can also stand out as well as the key.

We thought of doing this logo because it is bright and colourful and would appeal to teenage audience, but can also suit all audience. We thought that even though this design was simple we are trying to show the channel being colourful and vibrant.

 We tried to give this a more graphic and futuristic look because we are also trying to portray that this is the channel that everyone would be watching in the future. We thought that is shouldn't have any colour because the logo is fine as it is and represents the channel and what they are trying to portray. The target audience would like and relate it to because of its graphic and futuristic look it has.

 This logo was designed to target the audience more so that they would like it and relate to it. It also shows the channel and what is stands for and the kind of things that they would broadcast to their target audiences. We though of having this dark kind yet oosing logo to show that the channel is exciting and can possess many secrets, and if you stay tuned you will find out what they are.

Costumes and Props- Ident

StoryBoards- Ident

This Ident would be a humorous one targeted at all audiences. In this ident we are thinking of having random objects just appearing on the screen from a colourful "Grid". At first it will start of small in the background and then it would gradually get closer and closer to the screen. Once it has gotten close to the screen we would make it seem as if they screen has shattered with broken glass. Once that has happened we are going to end it with the logo " The Grid "

For this ident we were thinking of just having some random things and objects coming out form the projector. The first thing that would come out of the ident would be weird shapes and objects that we would have to compose ourselves. The second thing to come out would have to be a smoke and following that some laughter and music notes. Once the ident is done left on the screen would be the music notes and the the words " The Grid " left on the screen.

The last ident would be an explosion ident because we are trying to show the excitement and show the audience how fun the channel. This ident would be plain and simple and would be done on the computer because we would be unable to make a explosion ourselves with anything that we use.

Spider Diagrams Idea - Ident

For the first ident we had already thought of it to be funny and humorous so we came up with a lot of idea's so that we can represent what the channel is about and what genre of things that it might include. We had just one specific theme to this one and we though of having it as a projector idea and things that we could do it or add to it.

Once we had gotten our set idea we thought of many different other things that we could do or add to our original projector theme. For this one we thought that our objective should be random things - so we came up with a few idea's of random coming out the projector and how we could also make it funny.

For this ident we thought of trying to have an impact on the audience and their perspective of the channel. We wanted to symbolize the excitement and originality of the channel and  excitement that it holds for the viewers. We thought of different ways that we could try and perceive the things that the channel is all about and the type of things they showed.

Ident 1: Comedic

Because of the type of things that would be incorporated into the ident I think that a humorous and funny ident would best suit the ident. We had many different types of ideas to put into the ident and are still unsure of what song we should do. We looked at the website royalty free for copyright ok music and found these songs to do for the ident the complex, call to adventure and jaunty gumption or the complex- we could even try to mix the two together. We think that they best suited song for this ident would be the complex because it best suits the ident as fast pace and exciting and seems like an adventure yet comedic type of music which portrays our ident. During the ident there would be multiple different sounds during the ident.

Ident 2: Random Objects

 The nature of this ident is random and silly. To be able to portray this we had to think of the type of music that would best suit it. We found varies different types of music that could possibly suit the ident and the message and target audience that we are trying to perceive. To be able to find this music we looked the website royalty free to find a good silly and funny kind of song. We found multiple songs such as: take a chance, full on, jaunty gumption, ambler and move forward,the complex and rather be. However we are still unable to choose the song that we think would be suit the message we are trying to show. However we do think that this would best suit the ident would be rather be by clean bandit or the remix of it or somehow combine the two of them together . This is because it is upbeat and like a random tune which incorporated our idents and what we are trying to portray with it.

Ident 3 : Explosion
Due to the type of ident we are going to make with this we would want the music to be upbeat and fat and seem kind of adventurous and yet tense. We had many other ideas for this ident to which were hitman, black vortex, full on, the decent and interloper. The music that would best suit this ident would be the decent because it is tense, and adventurous. The ident would be shot in slow motion so the music would be perfect because it would be slow shot in still motion so the ident would be slow yet action packed. At the end of the ident there would also be a big explosion noise at the end.

Lock idea 3

 The first thing that I did was to import my picture of a padlock and changed the colour of it using the paint bucket tool and changed the colour to orange.

 Due to the different colours that I used to the  to make lock I had trouble changing the top bit of the padlock without the whole thing changing. To be able to resolve this I had to use the pen tool and outline the place that I wanted a different colour. Once I had done that I then drew it at the place where I wanted it to be and changed the colour that I wanted it.

I imported a picture from the internet- however because of it having so many keys in it I had to crop the key that I needed to be able to use it.

 Once I had imported my key to the right layer, and changed the size and rotated it I then changed the color of it using the paint bucket tool .

 When i was done editing the key I added text and a black key hole to the lock by using the pen tool to outline the actual key hole. Due to the way that I have done the text bu having the letter in Lock seperate ( LO and CK are in different text layers) I linked them both together so that if I wish to move one they would both move, so that they wont be in different places.

Once i had linked the text together and free transformed it. I edited the writing and size of the text so that it is more appealing.

I think that the roles that are given to both of us are suitable for us because of our individuality and out creativity. Since we both came up with the idea of the projector idea, I think we should both be directors in how is should look and what kind of things would be incorporated within the ident.

The music would best suit Kieran because he has a more wider music range and would know which kind of music would best suit the ident. Thinking about the tempo, dynamic and the pitch. The editing is best suited for Khrystlyn because she has more experience in editing with some different software’s- so she might be able to handle the editing and know what to do and what would best suit the ident and the things that would be incorporated in it.  

For the camera it would be better if both Kieran and Khrystlyn do it because it would make it fair than making one of them be the cameraperson for the ident. They can switch who handles the camera and who is making all the images possible in the ident.

No one would need to do the lightening because in the ident we are going to try and use the light sources that is around us without needing to do or add anything to it.

Location Post

Ident 1- Classroom Ident

The location of where we would shoot would probably be in the classroom with an interesting background (probably a colourful one) to try and draw the audience in.

The ident would probably be bright and colourful due to the kind of things that would be incorporated in: such as shapes and colours. It would also be bright because of the kind of lighten that it would have such as the outside light (natural light) and a bulb light (artificial light). The room we would be shooting is a simple 4-sided square room.To be able to access the location is has one single purpose door to be able to enter in the classroom. It also has another door that also accesses to another room and however that room just has only one door to access it.

Most of the health and safety concern for this ident is to do with the projector and how to successful position it without breaking it or someone getting hurt. We also have to think about our surroundings and what kind of things that would be around the room, such as chairs, or bags or anything else that someone might trip on. To be able to overcome any health and safety issue’s we can make sure we know the proper way to hand the projector and how to operate it properly. To ensure that all of the

Ident 2 – Colourful Background Ident

The location of this ident could be anywhere as long as it has a colourful and interesting background- this is in order to fit with the theme of what the ident is and everything that is incorporated in it. We might shoot this ident in an art room because of the different kinds of colours and designs that are in an art room.

The ident would be bright and bold because of the colours used for the background and because of the lighten that would be used. For this ident we would use artificial lightening so that they colours stand out more and seem even brighter. To be able to access the room that we would film in, it has only one door to go through and access. However the door to be able to go through is kind of small, so it might be hand managing to go through the door without damaging the equipment- so this might be a challenge and a problem for us.

The main heath and safety issue is moving the projector to another room without damaging it and breaking it. This is because the room in which the projector is in is not the room we are going to shoot for this ident. We have to make sure that we have a safe and easy way to move the projector without breaking it an without anyone getting hurt. Another health and safety issue is that fact that we might have to carry the projector and is might be heavy and hurt the person who is carrying it, so they would have to find a suitable way to carry the projector without hurting themselves.

Ident 3- Outside Ident

 The location of this ident would be outside right in the centre of the playground so that we have a bigger space to do what we want to do.  For this ident we are thinking of doing slow motion animation because it would be more effective for the type of ident that are going to do.

We are shooting outside so that we are able to get natural lightening because it would be more effective and bolder for the ident choice that we are going to do and the concept of it would be best suited to do outside and not in a closed environment. Due to where we are going to shoot it would have buildings and trees and chair in the background because of the type of environment it is.

The healthy and safety issue we have whilst filming outside is the weather and moving the projector outside without breaking it. We would have to try and move the projector without scratching it damaging it. Another health and safety issue is the weather itself because its going to cold we would have to take into account our health and the condition of the projector because the cold weather could potentially damage it.

Stages through Lock 2 Idea

 This was the first stage of me making the idea for Lock 2. I first went onto the text tool so that I can write the word lock for my idea

 After I wrote lock i started to edit the font and size for the idea. I then started to experiment on the different edit types I could do with the letter e.g making them closing, changing the width and height etc.

 After I found the correct style that I wanted the text to look like I then had to edit the ' O ' in lock because I was going to have something go in the center of it. so I changed the width of it and made the letters go closer to each other so that they aren't too spaced out from each other.

 After I edited the text I had to look for a good lock hole because I was unable to do it free hand. So to be able to trace this I used the pen tool and traced the outline of the key hole. After I did that I made it into a custom tool.

 After I had made the key hole into a custom tool I posted it into the center of the 'O'. When I had fitted it in I realised that there was a lot of space left, and I was unable to edit the letter in order for the key hole to fit in perfectly and for the 'O' to be a reasonable size. So I used the pen tool again and drew around the area that I wanted to fill and made it into a custom shape. After I made it into a custom shape I changed the colour to the colour of the letter and just filled it in.

When I had filled in the space I moved the key hole a little bit so that it is a bit closer to the center and then I was done.
