In this post I have used Tube Chop to portray the changes that was made to the music video for the final draft to be conventional and interesting for the audience to watch. I also did it to make video look professional for my target audience to watch and enjoy.

1) artist being seen when the singing starts. This allows the audience to know who the artist are immiditaly and possibly be able to connect and feel drawn to them before the music video even starts.




2) One of the artist in fast motion and reverse motion to make the video look more interesting and exciting. This also allows the video to be more conventional for the audience to watch.




3) Having the footage of the music video cut to the beat of the music allows it to be a bit more interesting and exciting for the audience to watch so that they don't think that its boring and that the music video doesn't have any good qualities about it




4) By having both artist in one shot however in different footage allows it to be unique and different and would make the audience question how the producers did it as well as thinking it was a creative idea. Having it at a time that they are lip-syncing but in different footages allows the audience to see an extra scene and clip in the video.


5) By having extreme close-up of the artist lip-syncing lets the audience know what the artist is singing and be able to also see the emotions and feelings of the artist as she is singing it.

Feedback From Client---Music Video

 During the making production of the music video I received feedback from my clients throughout the music video on how to make it better and to include various different things that they like. This is a very important aspect of making a music video because it allows the artist to know what they would like to incorporate in the music video and what it takes to make it successful and appeal to the audience. The feedbacks that I received was on my first draft that I showed to my client. I received some pointers on how to make the music video better, to appeal to my audience and make the music video as best as it would it..

 The first feedback that my client pointed to me was that some of the footage in the music video didn't fit the screen as it was meant to and there were a few cutaway in the music video that were not supposed to be there. The other feedback that I received was that in some scenes where we see the artists they are not in sync with the lyrics in the music and that would need to be fixed or else it could possibly confuse the audience. The last feedback that I received from the client was that in the first draft of my music video was that there weren't enough parts where we see the artist. The client believes in the music video it is crucial for the audience to clearly see the artist in order for them to know who is singing.

I took into consideration all of the feedbacks that my client gave to me and started to make all the changes. I thought that by changing/including the pointers the client gave to me it would be final piece look professional and appeal to my audience.

In terms of my first feedback of where some of the footage doesn't fit the frame in the screen and there were too many cutaways and footages that weren't meant to be seen I thought that by deleted those extra scenes the video would look a bit more professional and wouldn't look messy. The first thing that I did in order to make the video look professional was to watch the whole thing and to delete any of the extra footage that came into the scene. Once I had located the faults in the footage I had to use the cut tool in the editing software to delete any of the extra footage. The second thing I had to fix was that the images in the footage weren't in frame and didn't fit in. In order to fix this problem I had to identify which parts of the footage did that and used a tool called ' adjust to frame ' which allowed me to fix the problem easily. If that tool didn't fit it perfectly I could then manually do it myself by zooming in and moving the image how I wanted in order for it to fit the frame.I think it was an important thing that my client told me the mistake in the video because it there were any unneeded footage in the music video it would just confuse the audience and they would be unable to identify the message that my partner ( Clare O'Mara ) and I are trying to portray.

The second change that I made was to try and sync the artists singing with the music. In order to do this I decided to look for all of the footage that we can clearly see the artist lip-synching to the music.I thought that it would be better to just change the ones where we see the artist instead of changing the whole thing because that the only part that the audience would be watching and not the part that wont be lip-synced.In order to make the artist lip-sync to the music I had to identify at what point the artist was singing at and located where that part of that music was. Once I had figured out where that part was I began to make the alterations of the song by using the editing software on Adobe Premiere pro CS6 and used the cut tool to cut out any parts that I didn't need. Once I had cut the parts of the footage I just had to move the lip-syncing of the artist to the song it along to that designated area.I thought that by changing the lip-syncing of the artist to match what it says on the actual song it would allow the music video to be a bit more conventional, appeal to the audience and be successful within the audience.

The last piece of editing I had to do for the music video that my client told me was that at the beginning of the music video it would be crucial for the audience to see the artist in order for them to know who is singing. I agreed with the client and thought that it would be important for the audience to be able to see the artist and  possibly connect to them. To be able to do this I had to find footage of the artists both together that wasn't already going to be seen in the music video and wasn't being used and put it at the beginning of the song just when the music begins. Whilst doing this part of the editing I thought it was quite hard due to the fact that it was hard for me to know exactly which ones were being used and which ones weren't. As well as the fact that I didn't know if it would be a good footage to be used just at the beginning of the song. Due to the fact that I would need to see all of the footages shot I needed to be able to view them, however due to how it was laid out I wasn't able to just view particular footages that I wanted but I had to view all of them. However I did manage to find a good piece of where its just the two artist together doing nothing so I thought to incorporate that footage in the video.

One good quality that my music video possess is the fact that both artist are present in the video and lip-syncing to the music. This makes it easier for the audience to know who the artist are and it allows them to connect not only with the audience but also with the music video. Making both artist present and lip-syncing allows the video to be more conventional allowing it to appeal to the audience due to the fact that its very common for music videos to have the artist present and lip-syncing in their video.

In the music video it shows many different various editing such as the footage cutting to the beat of the music as well as other montage editing in the video such as changing the opacity of the footage and overlapping it with other videos. Adding these editing types makes the video more appealing the audience and interesting to watch by cutting to the beat of music . It also allows it to look professional and well put together.

My music video follows the storyline and concept through the use of location types. The storyline consists of two female travelling and visiting various new place. I chose to show this through the use of locations and short types that would allow the audience to connect to the artist through the use of locations. I also chose to do this to make the video look appealing and more successful.

In order to make the music video a bit more conventional I think I should have had more editing that would cut to the beat and allow the audience to feel like its exciting to watch the music video. This could have allowed my video to connect to them in a more unique and different way.

Another way I could have improved the music video was through the use of slow motion. This is in order to allow the video to be a bit more conventional and appeal the audience. It would have also made the storyline a bit more exciting the would allow the audience to anticipate what would happen next in the music video sequence. Due to the way the music video started it would have been interesting to add the slow motion due to the fact that it would have made it seem like the journey that the artist face could be surreal, unreal and possibly unrealistic however the artist wouldn't know that thus making the storyline clearer to the audience.
