Film Your Rushes

To make the first draft of your music video you must ensure that you have the most important conventions in a music video. These are : different locations, lip-syncing, costume, different shot types and the most crucial one- the artist present in the music video. At times in very successful music video all of these conventions mentioned are present in the music video - thus making them popular within the public. When the artist is lip-syncing along to the music you must ensure that the syncing to the music to precise or else the video would look to fake and wouldn't look professional.

Within the music video I have decided to show these two videos as my location shots. This is to make the audience engaged and intrigues with the video and what the theme is and what it consists of. I've also decided to include these two shots to allows the video to become more conventional and allow the audience to understand what's happening in the video and so that everything can link and relate to each other and wouldn't be confusing for the audience.

In this footage we can clearly see one of the artist and their choice of costume. This is to allow the audience to connect to the music and the audience and feel like they can relate to the artist. It also allows the audience to understand the connection between the artists costume and how it relates to the theme and the location that they are in.

I have decide to include these two footage in the music video to include a range of different shots in the video. This makes the music video a bit more exciting and engaging to watch. It also allows the audience to see more of the scenery and the props present at a side angle than showing it from the front. It also gives the music video and interesting concept.

In this shot we can see both artist and we can tell that the shot type is a long shot. Having a long shot in the music video allows the audience to get a better view of the location that the artist is present in. It also give the audience the chance to better examine what the artist is wearing and see the connection from the artists costume to the theme of the music video. It gives the audience the chance to compare and see the different in the different shots, locations and costumes that the artist wears. By having a long shot in the music video it makes the video much more conventional and different due to the constant change in shot types and scenery. Thus potentially making the music video widely popular for the target audience. However you must ensure that you use the correct type of shot with the correct video shoot, otherwise the video would look unprofessional and would look very messy and not well-made.
